The RedCliff Recovery program stands out for multiple reasons, one of the most important reasons is that it is a by women for women program. We’re in a fascinating and critical time of cultural and political history where not just the future is female, but the present is female as well. A huge uprising of woman’s empowerment has grown in the last few years, finding a new wellspring of strength in the solidarity and support of women who are sexual assault survivors.
When women come together for other women, to bring other women together, and more than that, to help women bring themselves together, powerful doesn’t even cover what takes place.
The experience of female is something which cannot be understood by anyone other than other females. For decades it has been a pop culture joke in the narrative of defining femininity to proclaim that women are complex, hard to understand, and a mystery never to be solved particularly by males. In part, women are complex- beautifully complex. Women can be hard to understand, but the understanding of a woman by others is far less important to her, overtime, than her understanding of herself. As for women being a mystery never to be solved, what women come to find in their own journeys and the journeys they take together with other women is that solving the mystery of self, particularly the woman-self, is the journey. Solving that mystery is never the destination. Women are mystical, magical, inspiring, creative, intimidating, powerful, capable, and so much more.
If a woman has lost her way early in life through drugs, alcohol, behavioral, or mental health issues,
it is the guidance, care, and compassion of other women
which will help her find herself again.
Women’s recovery programs created by women, run by women, made for women, are key to helping women navigate the many layers of their world both internally and externally. Created with the female experience especially in mind, the RedCliff Recovery program has been designed to help women believe in hope, live in joy, and find the freedom they deserve.
